Artistic Style
Relief prints are certainly
not the limit for Sassafrass as she has always
enjoyed the enchantment of artistic explorations
in one fashion or other.
Frequently she
depicts the imagery of dream worlds,
such as: mythological creatures,
faeries, mermaids, as well as
celestial nymphs and a wide variety of tree
people.
In her own words she
further explains her own style,
“I’ve
especially thrived on creating artistic
pieces out of recycled resources that
otherwise would have been discarded into
landfills. When this earth conscious
decision can be combined with my other
passion in life, donating to charities,
I know without a doubt that art reaches
out and touches something more
meaningful than just my patrons eyes and
imagination. Together, as artist and
collector, we touch the world."

Background
As an art student at
Milwaukee High
School of the Arts, Sassafrass discovered
the universal power of communicating
through music. Milwaukee High School of
the Arts would come to be known as a
major "defining point" for Sassafrass.
While attending
UW-Milwaukee
Sassafrass studied
Experimental - Avante Garde film under some of
Wisconsin's most prestigious film
instructors.
In 2005 Sassafrass graduated as
an
Information Technology - Computer
Networking Systems
major. Her experience with
technology was what motivated her to
explore an artistic career. Having
successfully acquired a degree in Information
Technology... all that was left to do... was for
Sassafrass to capture her lifelong dream.
[The reality of
becoming an artist.]
To begin an artistic
path, one
needs structure. For Sassafrass that formation
was built upon three strong passions:
the process of
creation,
doing good,
and giving back to the world.

Benefits of
Creation
My original linoleum prints are often described as having beautifully healing
and inspiring aesthetics. Thanks to the
assistance of the Internet and my independent art
gallery at SassafrassWinter.com my
expressions of love are finding homes in many
distant and wonderful places all over the world.
But most importantly: I
wish for you to understand how
spiritually rewarding it can be to
collect my artwork – as I do donate
portions of each sale to charity.

thank
you for visiting,
Sassafrass Winter Solstice
